It's Back to School Time!

So, DH and I took a trip to Walmart today...it's Tax Free weekend here in NC and we wanted to pick up a few office supplies (every little bit of savings helps!) What a zoo!! I think everyone in the area was there shopping for Back to School!

That got me thinking...I know I have a couple of items in my shop that are fabulous back to school items and I know there are TONS more on Etsy...so I did some searching...

This fabulous find was from the Etsy shop of CDChyld

She has the most awesome messenger bags...I just love this black and white one. She also has two cute Superman messenger bags as well.

She's also getting ready for Halloween with some really awesome earrings

These adorable bag tags are in my shop These little gems are about 3" square and can be personalized with your choice of name in tons of different fabric choices (yes, I have boy fabrics too)...

The uses for these are endless...think lunch box tags, backpack tags, messenger bag tags, diaper bag tags and even as a key chain!

Oh, and don't forget about my giveaway...the middle of the month is coming fast!! I really want to give away those trick or treat bags!!

Today's fabulous find comes from Creativebee706 on Etsy.com. She makes the most beautiful pillowcase dresses, and her prices are reasonable too!

I just loved the colors in this particular dress...of course, could be because I'm partial to pink and greens : ))

Today's Fabulous Finds and a Giveaway!

So, today's Fabulous Find comes from Etsy seller Dog Dazzle. She makes the most awesome collars for dogs of all sizes!

Some updates and another fabulous find!

I've added advertising to the blog so that we can help each other out...The rates are insanely cheap, starting at $.20 per week with discounts for long-term ads!! There are two areas to advertise right now, on the top of the left sidebar with a 125x125 button and at the bottom of the page with a 468x60 banner ad. PayPal is accepted for advertising : ))

Now that that's done, on to the fun stuff! Here's my latest fabulous find!! This one comes from Made It Myself. For those of you not familiar with this site, it's an Etsy-type site, still in it's infancy and they are offering FREE listing and selling!!

This lovely gem just popped off the homepage at me this morning! I just love the eye catching colors, as well as the fact that it has pink and green, my own personal favorite color combo at the moment!!

Today's Fabulous Finds and Another New Creation

I have to tell you...I just love Etsy...the artisans on there are just so darn talented!! I love to just browse the site and look for awesome new stuff!

Well, that's just what I was doing this morning, and look at what I found!!

This beautiful cushion is from the shop of ColoursOfLuke. I just love that sage green screenprinted panel in the center. I think, once I get my craft room organized and get my living room back, I may have her make me a couple of these to match my new living room furniture : ))

Now, on to some new creations of my own...In my last post, I mentioned I had purchased the wall banner from Five Star Fonts...well, while I was there, I saw this amazing double applique "School Rocks" pattern...and I thought it would look so cute on a tote bag for Back to School!! Well, here's the finished product:

I also did a couple on black totes that aren't "girly girl" colors...you can check them all out in my shop HERE. I'm hoping later today to have time to put this on a t-shirt...I think it would be awesome!!

I was making one of my frequent visits to Shabby Bags the other day and I found this lovely bag that Jan recently added to her gallery. I just love her bags...they are so well constructed and her use of patterns is just awesome!

I urge you to go visit her. Not only does she have her own website, but she also has an Etsy shop as well as a shop on Made It Myself!

And I actually got the opportunity to do some creating this weekend....I bought this cute wall/door banner from Five Star Fonts and couldn't wait to make it up!!

This particular one is for my granddaughter who will be 9 in a couple of weeks!!
